9 Movies to See Outdoors in Raleigh this Month

Get outside this summer, but beat the heat and head to an outdoor movie in the evening. Check out new releases or revisit old classics with the countless opportunities to catch a flick outdoors this month—they’re being shown right in your backyard, from the North Carolina Museum of Art to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre. 

 

MOVIES BY MOONLIGHT AT KOKA BOOTH AMPHITHEATRE

A family-friendly favorite, the WakeMed Movies by Moonlight Series is returning this summer to Cary’s Booth Amphitheatre. Adult tickets are $5, and kids 12 and under get in for free. A portion of the proceeds from the series benefit the WakeMed Children’s Hospital.

NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART SUMMER FILM SERIES

The North Carolina Museum of Art’s cherished outdoor summer films have been a Raleigh tradition for over 20 years. From Oscar winners to classics to family favorites, the NCMA has it all. This month, be sure to attend the NCMA’s special movie party for Bohemian Rhapsody. Tickets are $8 for museum members and $10 for nonmembers; children 6 and under get in for free.
